Encouraged and Supported, T.S.

My parents met the Christian brothers and sisters in the local churches in 1976; at that time I was three years old. Therefore, I have spent a large part of my life in the church. I received the Lord when I was eight years old, and was baptized at the age of twelve. In my late teens and early twenties I began to explore the world, and was exposed to many worldly elements. However, the solid Christian upbringing I had as a child was a real salvation in the long term.

A year after I began to go on with the Lord again I got the opportunity to join the full-time training in Hamilton, New Zealand. I received a lot of benefit from hearing and reading the teachings of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, which really opened up the Word of God to me. The time there was also a great preparation for future full-time Christian work. My wife and I were married at the beginning of 1999, and I began to serve the Lord in a full-time way.

The brothers and sisters in the churches have been more than supportive and encouraging in my going on in my Christian life and on cooperating with the Lord in what He is doing on this earth.
